    Session Overview:

    Join us for an impactful panel discussion on payroll innovation and its strategic impact on treasury operations amid market unpredictability.  Treasury teams will develop a deep understanding of how modern payroll solutions enhance workforce engagement while optimizing cash flow, risk management, and financial planning.  

    Panelists:

    Rebekah Young – Rebekah is an economist with Scotiabank Economics. In her role as Vice President, Head of Inclusion and Resilience Economics, she provides thought leadership on a broad range of economic trends that will impact long-term growth in Canada including evolving demographics, housing affordability, fiscal sustainability, and the green transition to cite a few. She also actively probes near-term economic and policy developments.

    Previously, she held senior roles at the IMF, the Canadian Department of Finance, and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

    Sean Paulseth  Sean is a revenue and partnerships executive with a track record of building and scaling go-to-market strategies for HR and fintech startups. He began his career in human resources and quickly moved into growth leadership roles, helping four HR tech companies expand across North America and globally.

    At ZayZoon, Sean is focused on bringing earned wage access and financial wellness to mid-market and enterprise employers through both direct and partner channels. With a passion for solving workforce challenges like retention, recruitment, and financial stress, Sean works closely with HR, payroll, and finance leaders to deliver meaningful outcomes for frontline employees.

    He previously launched a global HR tech media platform and brings a thoughtful, data-driven approach to sales strategy, channel development, and executive engagement.

    Damian Jones – With nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Damian currently serves as Vice President, Global Transaction Banking, Canadian Commercial Banking at Scotiabank. His extensive experience spans across corporate and commercial lending, cash management, capital markets, and credit and operational risk management..

    Join us for an evening of baseball and great company!  Cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays as they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday June 18th at 7:07pm. 

    AFP Toronto has reserved the first two rows of a corner quadrant of the WestJet Flight Deck in the Outfield District of the Rogers Centre.  This fan-favourite space is great to watch the game, explore the various themed neighbourhoods, and network with treasury and finance professionals from across the Greater Toronto Area.

    A few more details about the event:

    • AFP Toronto has reserved the first two rows of the WestJet Flight Deck, located in the Outfield District of the Rogers Centre.  Access to the first two rows of our quadrant is reserved for AFP Toronto Members and guests of the event.  Access will be controlled by wristbands (which means that general admission ticketholders who are not a part of our group cannot access the reserved area!)
    • There are no assigned seats in the Outfield District.  You will have exclusive access to the first two rows of our reserved quadrant to stand and take in an unobstructed view of the game.  Ticketholders who are not a part of the AFP Toronto event will not be able to access the reserved area. 
    • Great stadium food and Toronto curated bites, as well as alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages are available for purchase throughout the Outfield District.  Rogers Centre is a cash-less venue.  
    • E-tickets will be sent 5 days before the event to the email address used for registration.
