TMAC would like to share that we have taken steps to build out partnerships with AFP Chapters across Canada, providing you access to a collective Canada-wide series of virtual educational seminars. For TMAC members, this will now expand the number of sessions you can attend at no cost throughout 2022, with a nominal $25.00 attendance fee assessed on each seminar for non-members. These partnerships complement our own TMAC sessions and reinforce our key mandates to connect, educate and support our practitioner constituents and will serve to offer additional value to your professional development.
Canadian Economic Outlook Update: Panel Discussion
(Hosted by AFP Ottawa)
Canada's economy has had a bumpy journey since the pandemic, with hopes that vaccine access could mean a return tempered by emerging variants such as Omicron, the future economic landscape is expected to be influenced by many factors such as supply-chain and the global energy crisis, the employment and housing markets, inflation that has crept up all that amid ongoing trade tensions and protectionist measures linked to the stimulus spending bills, further impacting businesses’ investment decisions and households’ purchasing power; all this as we witness increasing events and associated impacts related to climate change.
Our annual and highly popular economic panel exchange promises to be engaging by focusing on an in-depth analysis of the current key economic drivers including a discussion of global factors which will affect near term forecasts. Initially slated to resume in-person events for January, the AFP Ottawa board has opted to continue with remote presentations due to the uncertainty with the uptake in Covid cases and the Omicron variant.
